There have been many requests to repeat this class so it will be offered again in June - twice! It will be taught on Thursday, June 10th at 6pm and again on Sunday, June 13th at noon. On Sunday afternoon I will teach it from 12 to 2 and follow it with Alcohol Inks 202 from 3 to 5 so you could take both in one day if you missed them in the first go around. We will do 3 different techniques (with different inks which give you widely different results) and make 4 cards. The four cards are pictured below.
The stamp is a Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 stamp.
The stamps are also by Wendy Vecchi, Studio 490.
The blue and green card has Tim Holtz stamps.
The black and metallic card, which is more beautiful in real life, features a finely detailed stamp by Stampers Anonymous.
I hope you can join us for the inky fun!

Alcohol Inks 202 Returns!
These are the four cards for the Alcohol Inks 202 Class on Sunday, June 13 (3-5pm) and Thursday, June 17 (6-8pm). The techniques are all different from the Alcohol Ink 101 Class. I apologize for the quality of the photos - I'm still trying to figure out this digital camera thing - love the technology, hate the technology! I have listed the colors of Alcohol Inks used for each card.
The flourish/leaf is a Studio 490 Stamp and the flower is a Teresa Collins stamp. Both are from Stampers Anonymous. The inks are Sailboat Blue, Silver, Purple Twilight and Bottle.
This is actually a black card with the panels matted in pink and then onto the card. Again, it is a Studio 490 stamp. The monoprint is done in Terra Cotta, Red Pepper, Wild Plum and gold.
Both of these are Tim Holtz stamps from Stampers Anonymous. The Eiffel Tower is stamped in jet black Archival ink and the Paris is stamped in olive Archival ink. The gradated agate technique is done in Bottle, Meadow, Lettuce and Citrus.
The ATC card is a Tim Holtz stamp and the Thank You is a Studio 490 stamp, both from Stampers Anonymous. The crow border is by Lost Coast Designs. The acetate is colored with Sunshine Yellow, Bottle, Sailboat Blue and Shell Pink. The backgound is Bottle, Sailboat Blue and the Sunshine Yellow.

Class on Sunday, May 23
If you are coming to the Wendy Vecchi class on Sunday and you have any on the following inks (or the close substitute listed) please bring them to class along with your blending tools. It will save lots of time if those of you who own the inks bring them to ink your sign. Short list:
Tumbled glass (or broken china)
Crushed olive (or shabby shutters)
Peeled paint (no real substitute, sorry)
Vintage photo (or your favorite distress brown)
If you do not have them, do not worry, I will have them there; it just goes faster if some of you have your own.
Also, scissors and adhesive - whatever you want for card assembling and a strong liquid adhesive like Beaconś 3 in 1 craft glue for the rose. Looking forward to seeing you all...

Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 Card Class II
The saying is: then the little bird said...
you could leave the inside blank or stamp any greeting!!
The title is a little inaccurate...we will only make three cards but we will make this little sign embellished with a grunge rose...yes, we will make the grunge rose. All the items use the stamps on two Wendy Vecchi sets: Let Your Art Have Wings and Rose Art II. The cards feature the new My Minds Eye Sophie paper...just love the colors in this line and the vintage vibe.
Live life & be content is the message on this one...but feel free to stamp any of the other sayings or a Happy Birthday or Get Well.
This card uses on of the new Sizzix Tim Holtz altered embossing folders. Adds nice depth to the card!

Color Matches
A number of people have asked which colors of Bazzill cardstock I am using with the pink, blue and grey TIm Holtz Vintage Shabby Stack. Here is what I am using for the pinks: Emma, Sweetheart and Juneberry. For the blues, Starmist and Arctic. My favorite grey with this group is Smokey. And with the Retro Grunge stack I am using a lot of cajun (orangish brown) and celery.

Mother's Day Mini Book
This little shabby chic book is a $10 class! It will 8 photos. I stamped a friendship quote on the front of the book, but you could easily write Mom, Happy Motherś Day or your Motherś name. It would also be a good gift for any friend or sister who likes pink. Bring your photos to class if you want to finish the book at the end. You should bring scissors, adhesive and pink dye or chalk ink. I recommend Distress Worn Lipstick or Spun Sugar if you have them with a blending tool. It is a 90 minute class and any child who can stamp could finish this project. A great way to get started scrapbooking.
Heartfelt and Spellbinders II
These are the four cards for the Heartfelt Class. Spring and summer colors. I stamped Happy Birthday on one and Hello on another, but feel free to bring your own sentiment stamps if you prefer a different message. Please remember to bring a scissors and adhesive. The class is Thursday night May 13th at 6 pm and again on Sunday May 23td at 3:00 pm.
