Alcohol Inks 202 Returns!

These are the four cards for the Alcohol Inks 202 Class on Sunday, June 13 (3-5pm) and Thursday, June 17 (6-8pm). The techniques are all different from the Alcohol Ink 101 Class. I apologize for the quality of the photos - I'm still trying to figure out this digital camera thing - love the technology, hate the technology! I have listed the colors of Alcohol Inks used for each card.

The flourish/leaf is a Studio 490 Stamp and the flower is a Teresa Collins stamp. Both are from Stampers Anonymous. The inks are Sailboat Blue, Silver, Purple Twilight and Bottle.

This is actually a black card with the panels matted in pink and then onto the card. Again, it is a Studio 490 stamp. The monoprint is done in Terra Cotta, Red Pepper, Wild Plum and gold.

Both of these are Tim Holtz stamps from Stampers Anonymous. The Eiffel Tower is stamped in jet black Archival ink and the Paris is stamped in olive Archival ink. The gradated agate technique is done in Bottle, Meadow, Lettuce and Citrus.

The ATC card is a Tim Holtz stamp and the Thank You is a Studio 490 stamp, both from Stampers Anonymous. The crow border is by Lost Coast Designs. The acetate is colored with Sunshine Yellow, Bottle, Sailboat Blue and Shell Pink. The backgound is Bottle, Sailboat Blue and the Sunshine Yellow.

Dream Canvas

This is the canvas we did in the dream canvas class in February. It incorporates lots of things we´ve done in the techniques classes. It has Distress Inks blended on the rose, Perfect Pearls misted on the frame and rose, Distress Stickles on the butterfly, crackle paint on the vine and is edged with a gold Paint Dabber. The frame and vine were cut with Sizzix Dies, the grungepaper rose was made using a Studio 490 stamp and hand cut. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket and the dream stamp is a Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 stamp. The quote, script on the rose and script on the canvas edges were all stamped with Sepia Archival Ink. The entire thing was inspired by a Wendy Vecchi canvas design!

More pics from the Wendy class on April 19th and 25th...

These are two of the cards we will do in class. On the first card we'll use UTE on the bottle to give it a glass look. And yes, the flowers are cut with the Sizzix TH Alterations Tattered Florals die. The colors are muted turquoise and sunny yellow.

This card is alcohol inks....Purple Twilight, Wild Plum, Sailboat Blue and Silver in the background and Wild Plum, Watermelon and Shell Pink on the flower...with some Magenta stickles thrown in for good measure....a girl needs a little bling with her flowers! In the photo the card itself looks blue, but it is purple.

I've tried 3 times to photograph the other card - an I'll try again tomorrow. The fourth piece is the little sign in an earlier post, but here it is again so you don't have to hunt for it!

It will be fun and we'll do 2 techniques we have not done in any class to date! You'll be glad you signed on for this class!

Wendy Vecchi Studio 490 card class

I finished all four samples for the class on April 19th and 25th, but I only remembered to take a picture of one of them...LOL! Here it is and I'll snap pics of the other 3 when I'm at the store on Wednesday. Look for the rest of the photos on Wednesday night. In the meantime, here's a look at one of them - actually not a card - a little sign made using one of the new Tim Holtz dies. You could hang it somewhere or attach it to a minibook or even a card.

We will use both alcohol and distress inks in this class for four completely different looks. The stamp sets we'll use are Be Inspired...Make Art and Art Inspiration. Also known as the Plaid set and the cool little bottle set.

Intro to Stamping Class

We are adding an "Intro to Stamping Class" called Rubber Room Basics. I'll explain the 3 types of stamps, 5 basic types of ink and we'll make 3 cards, a bookmark and a tag to learn about 10 basic techniques. Wow, all that in 2 hours! Here are photos of the projects we will complete.

Cat stamp from Lost Coast designs, word and background stamp from Studio 490 collection.
"D" stamp from Stampers Anonymous.

Sun Swirl stamp from Stampendous...this is a cheery card, just had trouble photographing it.

Bird stamps from 7 gypsies, crow border from Lost Coast and word stamp from Studio 490.

Last but not least, a little bookmark to practice stamping on vellum!

Stamps by Stampendous.
