And last, but not least, inspired by Tag 1

A close inspiration...close than you might think....background is the same technique, tattered poinsettia is done in watercolor paper inked with picked raspberry stain and dusted with a little glittery embossing powder, major difference is that apparently I don't actually own any angel stamps so I used a snowman stamp which fits in just fine with the other tags I got finished.  Although this is the last one I will have time to post, this is the first one in Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist challenge.  Check out her blog at http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/page/2/ to see all 12 tags...they are stunning!  Sharon's tag (#1) was quite beautiful...mine is more playful but i liked the embossing folder/powder technique.....this has been fun....thanks everyone at Ellen Hutson!

Inspired by tag 11

Ok, inspired is the correct word here...i loved Carolyn's vintage tag but it did not fit at all with my raspberry and peacock theme which is also a little more contemporary...so I did the print paper, the glitter border and a focal image...snowman, not angel.  i also moved the greeting up because it was getting lost down below....and I do like the tag...fits in well with the others...check out Ellen Hutson's blog at http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/page/2/ for the original in the Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with A Feminine Twist challenge.

Inspired by Tag #5

Kittie's tag was beautiful...but I had to take some shortcuts!  Running out of time here...made the snow drifts out of glitter paper so I didn't have to add sparkle...didn't have pretty paper so covered a tag with stain and added snowflake stamps....and of course didn't own the dies she used, so used 2 Sizzix/Tim Holtz dies...it works....I actually love this one!  Playing along with Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist - check it out at http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/page/2/

Not quite done....Christmas Tag #10

This one is a loose interpretation of Maile Belles' delightful tag from day 10.  I had to make a lot of changes to keep it with my Peacock and Raspberry theme, but I kept the flavor and loved the simplicity of this.  Instead of a Kraft tag, I stained a manilla tag with picked raspberry stain, then I couldn't find any white ink for the life of me so I used versamark and detail white embossing powder for the ornaments...because no, I don't have any thought bubble stamps, but I do like my ornaments.  I tried lots of different tapes but they all looked so washed out that I ended up going with my all time favorite tape...7 gypsies polka dot gaffer tape....the black is a little dominant, but I like all the polka dots....LOL!  I do like Maile wrapped the tape around the tag and made the little banner thing - I'll use that trick again for sure!  Play along at http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/ - you have until Sunday to upload creations.  I bet I can get 2, maybe 3 more done.  My favorite is Paula's day 11, but that one will tag a LONG time and I can't quite figure out out to adapt it to my pink and teal theme, but I'll work on it....

Christmas Tag Inspired by Tag 7

I am playing along with Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist and this tag was inspired by Julie Stainton's Tag #7.  I changed the colors to my Peacock Feathers and Picked Raspberry theme....and I was out of Ranger hologram embossing powder so I used Judikins sparkle powder....LOVE how it looks.  Check out Ellen's blog at http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/.

Tag inspired by Day 6

I loved Teri Anderson's bakers twine trees on Tag #6 of Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist 2012!  I really am busy this week and not too creative, so I copied her design almost exactly...just did it in pool and pink instead of green and pink in keeping with my peacock and raspberry theme.  And I did not have her stamp or font, so I used an Impression Obsession stamp with a similar message....I love the way it turned out!  I think I can get 2 more done by Sunday....working at it!  Check out Ellen's blog at http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/ for more great inspiration!

Tag inspired by Day 4

This cute tag was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's cute bird tag from Ellen Hutson's 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist challenge.  I had to flip the branch and bird because of the size of metal I had on hand, but I don't think that matters...LOL...I also went with pink snowflakes and the background (behind the clear piece stamped in white) is a #8 tag stained with Distress Stains Peacock, keeping the tag in my peacock and raspberry theme! More Fun - Tag inspired by Day 3

This tag was inspired by Julie's day for day 3, although I made it a vertical tag - if I finish more of these and like them I will mount them on a canvas...and it is easier if they are all the same orientation!  Instead of putting down paper pieces to make my aqua stripes, I cut a tag from white paper and then used tissue tape to create stripes which I stained with peacock distress stains.  And although I have way to many Christmas stamps...not a pair of mittens among them - so I stamped snowflakes in versamark and then drew mittens around them with a versamark marker - embossed everything with detail white powder and hand cut them - not bad.  And while I love aqua and red together, am sticking with my raspberry and peacock theme.

I love the confetti in the glassine envelope...will do that again!  Watch for more tags this week....Play along at

Having Fun Playing with Ink

Love Ellen Hutson's classroom and the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist!  This tag was inspired by Claudine's Tag on Day 2, 2012.  I did  not have her groovy car stamp so had to use a smaller one, and no pink paint but used Raspberry Distress Stains....love the color!  Am making several more tags, keeping everything in the pink, white and peacock family.  Go to Ellen's blog to play along!  The web address is:  http://ellenhutson.typepad.com/the_classroom_new/

Here is my contribution:

I am now skipping around, but do have day 3 ready to post too!  Now that I realized I have until the 16th to post I may get a few more finished...Stay tuned!
